GoldMining Inc. has released an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its Crucero Project in Peru, significantly expanding the asset's economic potential through the inclusion of antimony in its calculation methodology. The revised estimate demonstrates indicated resources of 42.7 million tonnes grading 1.26 grams per tonne gold equivalent, representing a 75% increase from the previous estimate and totaling 1.74 million ounces of gold equivalent.
Antimony has emerged as a material contributor to the project's resource profile, accounting for approximately 25% of the indicated resource ounces. The updated estimate reflects long-term commodity price assumptions of US$3,110 per ounce for gold and US$28,700 per tonne for antimony, providing a comprehensive valuation framework that captures the polymetallic nature of the deposit.
The integration of antimony into the resource calculation highlights the multi-commodity characteristics of the Crucero Project and enhances its economic fundamentals by recognizing the value of byproduct minerals alongside primary gold mineralization. This expanded resource base provides an updated foundation for ongoing project development and feasibility studies at the Peru-based operation.
