Baskin-Robbins Canada and Nestlé Canada have announced a strategic partnership to bring Baskin-Robbins branded ice cream products to Canadian grocery stores, marking the first major retail expansion of the ice cream brand in the country's consumer packaged goods channel. The collaboration will leverage Nestlé's manufacturing and distribution capabilities, with production occurring at the company's facility in London, Ontario using 100% Canadian dairy.
The product line launching in February 2026 will feature five ice cream flavors alongside ice cream sandwich offerings, positioning Baskin-Robbins to compete in the premium frozen dessert segment of Canada's grocery market. The company has secured distribution agreements with major national retailers including Loblaws, Walmart, Metro, and Sobeys, with Costco Canada expected to begin carrying the products in April 2026.
The partnership represents a significant move for Baskin-Robbins to capture market share beyond its traditional quick-service restaurant channels. By utilizing domestic production and established distribution networks, the brand aims to reach Canadian consumers through convenient at-home consumption options while supporting local manufacturing operations.
