Mowi ASA has announced a leadership change at the board level, with Ørjan Svanevik stepping down as Chair effective immediately. The departure follows Svanevik's termination from his position at Seatankers Management. The transition marks a significant governance shift for Norway's largest aquaculture company.
Leif Teksum, who joined the Mowi board in 2024, will assume the role of Interim Chair. Teksum brings extensive financial and management experience to the position, having spent more than three decades in senior roles at DNB ASA, one of Scandinavia's leading financial institutions, as well as other major corporations. His background positions him to provide continuity during the transition period.
The board reshuffle underscores ongoing changes in Mowi's corporate governance structure. With Teksum's appointment, the company moves forward under experienced leadership while the board evaluates longer-term succession planning for the chairman position.
